Hundreds of rhododendrons, wildlife, water and… peace.
It’s called Tiergarten (Animals’ Garden) and although it’s not a zoo, there is plenty of wildlife in Berlin’s biggest park. I only met two playful rabbits on my way today, but squirrels and foxes are quite common.
Don’t miss Tiergarten, should you be in Berlin in summer, especially from mid-May to mid-June: it’s rhododendron season. Actually it’s hard to miss it, since part of it is right in the city centre.
